The barrage of electronic documentation requirements when working with critically ill patients creates ergonomic physical stressors that aggravate burnout risk in staff. This interactive session, with attendee participation, will review simple tips for improving mental and physical breaks that can be easily incorporated into any work environment.

Learning Objectives:

  • Explore simple breathing exercises that can help regain mental equilibrium in a hectic, stressful environment
  • Describe common ergonomic issues in the workplace, as well as simple techniques for readjustment
  • Identify simple stretches and isometric exercises to help mitigate common physical ailments from a stressful workday
