Rural and remote settings pose unique challenges for trauma and critical care, such as distance to definitive care and limited resources. This session will explore the system of care in Alaska, focusing on how to build capability despite many challenges. Speakers will use lessons learned from the Alaska Trauma System to explore trauma care in this extreme rural setting.
