Kimberly Rodriguez is the birthing mother of a child who required eleven days of VA ECMO in 2023. She has served on the ECMO CORE Family Advisory Council since February 2024. She has provided personal insights from the care recipient perspective, as well as, letters of support to further ECMO research. Though formally a licensed psychotherapist working at an inpatient psychiatric hospital, Kim is now an unintentional expert in the parent perspective of pediatric ECMO; her aim is to use this accidental expertise to help inform the future of critical care medicine and patient care.
