Kathryn A. Connell, PhD, RN, CCRN is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, with faculty appointments at the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research and the Palliative and Advanced Illness Research Center. A nurse clinician-scientist and practicing ICU nurse, her research examines how organizational structures, nursing resources, and team dynamics influence outcomes for critically ill patients, with a focus on sedation practices and long-term recovery. She also advocates for developing clinician-scientist pathways for nurses.
