Carrie L. Griffiths, PharmD, BCCCP, FCCM is an Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner in the Emergency Department at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. She then spent 3 years in Seoul, South Korea teaching Business English for Samsung. She then returned to school and graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wingate University in Wingate, North Carolina. She then completed her PGY-1 residency at the Central Texas Veterans Healthcare System in Temple, Texas and her PGY-2 residency specializing in critical care from the VA North Texas Healthcare System in Dallas, Texas. She recently transitioned from 12 years in academia and 6 years in Tele-Critical Care to a patient facing role in the emergency department. Dr. Griffiths is a Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacist.
Dr. Griffiths is an active member of several professional organizations including NCAP, ASHP, ACCP, and SCCM, where she has been appointed to national committees. In 2019, Dr. Griffiths was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine.
