Tyler J Loftus, MD, PhD, is a trauma and acute care surgeon and associate professor with the University of Florida Department of Surgery. His NIH-sponsored research focuses on machine-learning enabled postoperative triage decision support and patient value-informed decision support for surrogate and proxy decision makers. Dr. Loftus is passionate about advancing surgical education and technical skills development in serving as the Program Director for the University of Florida General Surgery Residency.
