UH Rainbow Babies and Children's/Case Western Reserve School of Medicine
Dr. Richard Speicher MD, FCCM is currently the Interim Chief for the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and the Medical Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Drexel University School of Medicine in 2001 and completed his training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine / UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital in 2007. In addition to his role as the Medical Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, he serves as the Co-Director for the Pediatric Trauma Program and Pediatric Medical Director for Critical Care Transport. Within the Society for Critical Care Medicine, he has served on the Pediatric Multidisciplinary Critical Care Knowledge Assessment Program and Pediatric Online Module Development Committees, has been awarded the Presidential Citation in 2016 and was appointed as a Fellow of Critical Care Medicine in 2025.
