Uchechi Oddiri, MD, FAAP is a Pediatric Intensivist at Stony Brook Children's Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. Dr. Oddiri's expertise is in sepsis quality assurance and medical education. As Chair of the Stony Brook Children's Pediatric Sepsis Committee and a representative on the Pediatric Sepsis Advisory Council to the New York State Department of Health, she oversees the Children’s Hospital’s standardized early sepsis recognition and treatment initiatives to optimize patient outcomes.
At the Renaissance School of Medicine, Dr. Oddiri is the Pediatric Post-Clerkship Director for medical student education and Director of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support course. She is passionate on optimizing the learning and work environment to promote student and provider well-being. She also leads local and national collaborative efforts aimed at fostering anti-racism and promoting diversity, equity, inclusivity, and belonging in the educational and clinical setting. Within SCCM, Dr. Oddiri is the Chair of the DEI Committee and co-chairs the Underrepresented in Critical Care Knowledge Education Group.
