Kunal Karamchandani MD, FCCP, FCCM, is a Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He completed his medical school training at the Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India followed by a residency in Anesthesiology at the All India Institute of Medical sciences, New Delhi, India. He then completed a residency in Anesthesiology and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. He Chairs the Education committee for the Society of Critical Care Anesthesiologists (SOCCA), and is also a Board of Director for SOCCA. He has been practicing both anesthesia and critical care in an academic setting for over 12 years and his research interests include physiologically difficult airway, sedation and analgesia in critically ill patients, and anesthesia care delivery at the bedside in the ICU.
