Liza Laquian, MD is an assistant professor in the Division of Surgical Critical Care at the University of Florida and a surgical intensivist at the UF Health Heart, Vascular, and Neuromedicine Hospital. After earning her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, she completed general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Florida. In addition to medical student and resident education, she has a special interest in the critical care of vascular surgery patients. Since working to establish the Vascular ICU in 2022, she has served as the medical director for the unit. Her areas of interest include aortic aneurysms, aortic dissections, mesenteric ischemia, vascular graft infections, sepsis, and traumatic injury.
