Carinda Feild, PharmD, FCCM is a Clinical Professor and Associate Director for the Office of Experiential Programs (OEP) at the University of Florida (UF) College of Pharmacy. She earned her Pharm.D. at UF and then completed a 2-year residency with emphasis in critical care and a two-year critical care fellowship at the University of Kentucky. At the college, she teaches critical care content, coordinates the critical care elective, serves as the OEP lead regional coordinator and oversees preceptor development/support. She practices and teaches at Bayfront Medical Center in St Petersburg Florida. Her clinical and research interests include sepsis, trauma, experiential education, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. She is a member and fellow of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) and serves as a charge lead on the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Practice Section Education and Committee and serves on the section’s program committee. She is also a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) serving on the Critical Care PRN programming and membership committees and the Education Standing Committee, the American Society of Health-system Pharmacists (ASHP) involved with the Educator, Inpatient Care Practitioner, and Clinical Specialist and Scientist sections, and the American Academy of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) Experiential Section Preceptor Development Program Committee. She is the recipient of her college’s Exemplary Teaching Award and is a 2-time recipient of the college’s Teaching and Service and outstanding teaching team awards and is a 3 time recipient of the Outstanding teaching publication award. She was one of 2020-2021 award recipients for AACP Excellence in Experiential Education and received the AACP Excellence in Assessment award in 2025.
