A highly accomplished nurse leader with over 17 years of experience;14 years in critical care specialty practice, and 8 years in nursing leadership. She currently serves as Nurse Manager for Intensive Care and Critical Care units at Atrium Health Union and Atrium Health Union West in North Carolina, where she oversees high-acuity environments and drives initiatives that enhance patient safety, quality outcomes, and operational efficiency.
Lynn earned her Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management, and is a certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), and Board Certified Nurse Executive (NE-BC).
Throughout her career, Lynn has led evidence-based projects to reduce hospital-acquired conditions, improve patient experience, and fosters a just culture of accountability and teamwork. She is passionate about mentoring future nurse leaders and advancing high-reliability practices. Her influence extends beyond her organization through active participation in committees such as Critical Care and Respiratory Health, Sepsis, Patient Safety, and Diversity and Inclusion. She is a proud member of AACN, ANA, and the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
Lynn's contributions have earned her numerous honors, including the Tree of Life Award, multiple Touchstone Awards, and the Nursing Excellence Team Award from Advocate Health. She has been nominated for the Great 100 Nurses of NC and recognized with the Daisy Award, and was a finalist for the Atrium Health Pinnacle Award. Her dedication to advancing nursing knowledge is evident through accepted abstracts and presentations at major conferences, including NCNA, NTI, Critical Care Congress, and HSPI. One of Lynn's favorite quotes is, "Patient safety is not just a priority-it is the foundation of critical care.
