Julie Xian is a MD/PhD student in the Medical Scientist Training Program at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is interested in investigating the underpinnings of clinical and genetic heterogeneity in disease through computational methods and uncover novel avenues for precision medicine approaches. Before coming to Hopkins, her prior research at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia resulted in >20 publications across journals including Brain, Neurology, Nature Communications, as well as numerous platform presentations at national conferences including the American Academy of Neurology Annual Meeting and American Epilepsy Society Annual Meeting. Julie was also selected as a 2021 American Epilepsy Society Grass Foundation Young Investigator, 2022 University of Pennsylvania Emerging Scholar, and 2023 Rare Epilepsy Network Young Clinician Investigator.
