Noreen Altallaa, BS, is a third-year medical student at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and a clinical research fellow at the Dayton VA Medical Center. Her research focuses on pulmonary embolism risk stratification, with emphasis on outcomes in high-risk and intermediate-high-risk PE, hyponatremia as a prognositc marker, and quality-improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing advanced therapy pathways. She has developed multiple data-driven projects utilizing large VA datasets and has contributed to projects examining guideline-aligned PE management and early recognition of decompensation. Her work has been accepted for presentation at the Annual Pulmonary Embolism Scientific Symposium and institutional research symposia. Her academic interests include critical care medicine and evidence-based approaches to acute cardiopulmonary emergencies.
