Sergio M Navarro is a Clinical Fellow at Mayo Clinic Rochester, Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma, Critical Care, and General Surgery (TCGS). He received his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine and master's degree from the University of Oxford. He is completing a general surgery residency at the University of Minnesota, along with a two-year R38 StARR research fellowship and one-year surgical critical care fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. He is a member of the Sigma Xi Research Honor Society, the Minnesota Surgical Society, Association for Surgical Education, Shock Society, and the American College of Surgeons. His research interests include trauma and acute care surgery; artificial intelligence; machine learning; surgical education; global surgery; traumatic injuries; and rib stabilization surgery.
