David Gilad, MD, PhD, is a pediatrician and pediatric critical care fellow at Safra Children’s Hospital, Sheba Medical Center, Israel. His research and innovation work focus on AI‑enabled clinical decision support, EMR‑grounded large language models, and operations optimization in the PICU, in collaboration with Sheba ARC. He has authored peer‑reviewed publications spanning neuroscience to critical care operations, including recent work on AI‑driven shift scheduling, and is invovled with development and implementation of clinical AI and intensivist workflow augmentation. Clinically, he leads initiatives to integrate ambient documentation, data aggregation, and decision support into PICU practice to improve safety and efficiency.
