Dr. Reut Kassif Lerner is a senior pediatric intensivist and Lecturer at the Gray Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences, Tel Aviv University, and currently serves as Acting Head of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Head of the Pediatric ECMO Program at Sheba Medical Center. She received her MD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, completed residency training in Pediatrics at Sheba Medical Center, and pursued advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Intensive Care and Pediatric Anesthesiology at Birmingham Children’s Hospital in the United Kingdom. Dr. Kassif Lerner has extensive clinical, educational, and leadership experience, including directing national training programs, leading ECMO education and simulation initiatives, organizing major professional conferences, and holding an executive role in the Israeli ECMO Society. Her research focuses on pediatric critical care, ECMO, COVID-19–related outcomes, medical education, and the integration of artificial intelligence in clinical practice, with numerous publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals. She is actively involved in mentoring medical students, residents, fellows, and early-career researchers.
