Rachel Bokinsky, MS, CCC-SLP, CBIS, is a Speech-Language Pathologist III at VCU Health System in Richmond, Virginia. She specializes in the evaluation and treatment of swallowing, speech-language, and cognitive-communication disorders in medically complex adult populations across intensive and acute care units. Rachel is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist with clinical interests in dysphagia in critically ill populations, head and neck cancer, and tracheostomy management. Rachel has presented on topics related to the SLP Role in a Trauma Tracheostomy Team and Restoring Voice and Swallow in Tracheostomized Patients in the Trauma ICU. She jointly led the development of VCU Health’s Multidisciplinary Trauma Tracheostomy Team, leading quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient outcomes through collaborative care.
