John R. Carr, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP, is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Critical Care and Residency Program Director for the ASHP-accredited PGY-2 Critical Care Residency at St. Joseph’s/Candler in Savannah, Georgia. He also holds an adjunct faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. He has authored peer-reviewed manuscripts and continuing education programs that focus on fluid stewardship, literature evaluation and statistical interpretation, and pharmacy education. Dr. Carr also precepts pharmacy students, PGY-1 residents, and PGY-2 specialty residents, with a focus on clinical reasoning and adept communication. Across his work as a clinician, educator, and scholar, Dr. Carr aims to strengthen the practice of critical care pharmacy through rigorous thinking, practical innovation, and meaningful mentorship.
