Daniel (Jie) Ouyang, MD, is a Critical Care Medicine Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. His clinical journey began with an Internal Medicine residency and a fellowship in Nephrology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. This dual-specialty background provides him with a unique perspective on the intersection of renal pathology and critical illness. Dr. Ouyang’s primary clinical and research interests include the advancement of Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) in acute settings, the management of complex dialysis in the ICU, and the optimization of mechanical ventilation strategies for oncology patients.
Outside of the ICU, Dr. Ouyang is an avid traveler and a self-described "foodie" who seeks out new cultures and cuisines. Whether he’s exploring a new city or enjoying the vibrant energy of New York, he finds balance through his appreciation for animals—he is a dedicated fan of both cats and dogs.
