Dr. Komal Pandya, PharmD, MBA, BCCCP, FCCM is a cardiothoracic surgery clinical pharmacist and the PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency Program Director at the University of Kentucky. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and completed her PGY1 and PGY2 critical care pharmacy residencies at the University of Kentucky. For over a decade, Dr. Pandya has provided specialized pharmacotherapy for cardiothoracic surgery and critically ill patients while serving as a dedicated preceptor and mentor to pharmacy residents as PGY2 Critical Care Residency Program Director. An active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) and its Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology (CPP) Section, she has contributed to multiple committees, including Education and Patient Safety. As charge lead for the CPP Discovery Webinar Series and later as chair-elect and chair of the Education Committee, Dr. Pandya helped develop impactful educational programming that supports professional growth and multidisciplinary collaboration across the critical care community. Her professional interests include optimizing medication use in cardiothoracic surgery, critical care education, and advancing pharmacist engagement in interprofessional practice.
