Chia-Hung Lin (林家弘), NP, Ph.D., is a Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Department at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing, National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences, and an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Instructor with the Taiwan Society of Emergency & Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Lin has more than a decade of frontline experience in emergency and intensive care nursing, with expertise in triage nursing, advanced cardiovascular life support, and emergency trauma care.
Dr. Lin’s research focuses on advanced nursing care, geriatric emergency medicine, and health data science, with a particular emphasis on the care of older adults in the emergency department. He has published in leading journals such as the Journal of Nursing Scholarship, Journal of Applied Gerontology, Substance Use & Misuse, Public Health Nursing, European Geriatric Medicine, and BMC series journals, addressing topics including intrinsic capacity, cognitive impairment, frailty, service quality, and the impact of COVID-19 on healthcare providers and systems. He has delivered oral presentations at international conferences, including the American Delirium Society and Sigma’s global meetings, sharing evidence-based insights on emergency nursing and care for older adults.
Actively engaged in scholarly peer review, Dr. Lin serves as an ad hoc reviewer for journals such as the Journal of Substance Use, BMC Public Health, BMC Health Services Research, BMC Nursing, European Geriatric Medicine, and BMC Geriatrics. He has received multiple national awards for nursing research, evidence-based practice, and clinical excellence. Through his integrated roles as clinician, educator, and researcher, Dr. Lin is committed to advancing high-quality, evidence-based emergency and critical care and improving health outcomes for patients and their families.
