Jillian Leibowitz, D.O. is an Attending Physician and Clinical Instructor of Emergency Medicine at SUNY Stony Brook University Hospital. She is currently completing a one-year fellowship in Resuscitation and Emergency Critical Care at Stony Brook under the mentorship of Dr. Brian Wright and Dr. Somair Malik. Dr. Leibowitz completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Stony Brook, where she served as Chief Administrative Resident. During her training, she was recognized as Intern of the Year and received a PGY-2 Resident Spotlight Award during hospital-wide Resident Appreciation Month. She also published a chapter in CorePendium on emergency medicine slit lamp examination. Her scholarly research during residency focused on airway quality improvement and first-pass success in the emergency department, which she has continued through her fellow and attending roles. She remains actively involved in undergraduate, medical student, and resident education.
