He has ACADEMIC APPOINTMENTS as an Associate Professor of Medicine in Clinical Anesthesiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and as an Affiliated Clinical Associate Professor of Medical Education at Texas A&M University.
He is the director of education for critical care at the Center for Critical Care and the Program Director for the Critical Care Fellowship at the Methodist System.
He has moderated various live global educational sessions, grand rounds, and journal clubs. Besides various peer-reviewed publications, abstracts, editorials, and book chapters, he is the author of four books on Critical care. He is also the editor of the educational critical care website icupearls.org
He has received three presidential awards from the Society of Critical Care Medicine for his dedicated work through involvement in various national committees. He has arranged critical care boot camps in various parts of the world and is a proud mentor to many students.
He has been working as an intensivist for the last 25 years.
