Oksana Sydorenko BSN, RN is a current practicing critical care RN with over 2 years of CVICU and ED experience at Loyola hospital a high acuity level 1 trauma center. Delivers comprehensive care to critically ill patients that are ventilated, hemodynamically unstable, post cardiac surgery and trauma patients. Demonstrates proficiency with advanced medical equipment including intra-aortic balloon pumps, ventilators, ECMO, Impella, CRRT machines and LVAD devices.The facilitator has expertise in managing patients with multisystem organ failure and open-chest patients post surgery. The facilitator is skilled in hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation. Has strong knowledge of critical care pharmacology and medication titration along with advanced EKG interpretation and arrhythmia management. The facilitator serves as the co-chair of the education committee in the CVICU that’s responsible for educating bedside nurses in knowledge gaps of critical care patient management and protocols. As a practicing bedside nurse, the facilitator collaborates with the multidisciplinary team that includes ICU critical care physicians, CV surgeons, PT/OT, respiratory therapy, social work among others to facilitate a patient care plan that is individualized to each patient.
