George Washington University Hospital
Dr. Pierce is first year faculty at The George Washington University Hospital with dual appointments in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. His academic interests center on advancing critical care therapies in the emergency department and prehospital settings. His research career will focus on ECMO, improving CPR outcomes as they relate to neurologic recovery, as well as exploring the role microplastics play in critical care. Dr. Pierce completed his Emergency Medicine residency at GW, where he served as Chief Resident, and his Critical Care fellowship at the University of Maryland, where he was Chief Fellow. He is an avid NY Giants and NY Yankees fan.
