Dr. Gállego Suárez is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Her clinical and research interests center on elucidating the relationship between nutritional status and the host immune response in pediatric critical illness, specifically in pediatric sepsis, ARDS, and multiorgan dysfunction syndrome, and the role of nutrition as a therapy to meet patient’s metabolic demands to aid with recovery and rehabilitation.
