Sydney Kisala is a PGY-2 Critical Care Pharmacy Resident at Grady Memorial Hospital in her hometown of Atlanta, GA, where she also completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. Her current research project evaluates the impact of neurostimulants on functional and cognitive outcomes in patients with moderate to severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). Sydney is also serving a two-year term (2025–2027) as the first pharmacist member of the PERT Consortium Trainee Council, where she contributes to advancing multidisciplinary approaches to pulmonary embolism response care. This year, she looks forward to further developing her professional interests as she gains experience with a wide variety of critically ill patient populations.
