Brooke Andersen DNP, ACNP is the Director of Advanced Practice Education and Director of the Advanced Practice Critical Care Fellowship Program at the University of Maryland Medical Center and R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. She launched the inaugural Advanced Practice Provider Critical Care Fellowship in 2012 and has since graduated 26 fellows with an 89% retention rate. She has developed and led numerous multidisciplinary courses, educating over 1,000 learners in critical care, ECMO, ultrasound, and invasive procedures. Over the past decade, Brooke has been recognized with several honors, including the University of Maryland APP of the Year, APP Presentation of the Year, the Society of Critical Care Medicine Presidential Award, and the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Hero Award. Most recently Brooke was accepted as a fellow of the American Association of Critical Care Medicine.
