McKenzie graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy with her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2021, then when on to completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2024. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, then returned to the University of Mississippi Medical Center and is completing a PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency.
