Pr. Marc Leone, born in 1968, is Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Aix Marseille University. He trained as resident and fellow in Aix Marseille University. Specialist in intensive care medicine, he spent one year as Visiting Professor at the Washington University of Saint Louis MO. He obtained his PhD degree on sex and infection at the Aix Marseille University in 2008. He is the chair of the department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine of his hospital. His expertise field includes sepsis, inflammation and trauma in the critically ill patient.
Marc Leone has signed around 500 indexed publications including several guidelines and has edited 4 books. He assumes the vice presidency of the French Society of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine and served as associate editor of Journal of Critical Care. He has been involved in the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine as SIS section chair.
