Dr. Sharma graduated from B.P. Koirala Institute of Medical Sciences, Dharan, Nepal (2004), and completed his Pediatric residency at Brooklyn Hospital Center (2010). He completed his Pediatric Critical Care Medicine training at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, Miami, Florida (2013). He works at the University of South Alabama Children’s and Women’s Hospital as an Associate Professor of Pediatric Critical Care. Dr. Sharma is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care. He has been a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics since 2007 and the Society of Critical Care Medicine since 2010. He has more than fifteen peer-reviewed publications in various fields of Pediatric Critical Care. His special research interests include point-of-care ultrasound with a focus on neurosonography, neuromonitoring, hypoxic-ischemic brain injury, and neurologic outcomes.
