British Columbia, Canada
Hello, my name is Dr. Simran Grewal, a recent medical graduate of St. George’s University, pursuing residency training in maternal and infant care. I completed my clinical rotations at Richmond University Medical Center and The Brooklyn Hospital Center, building on a strong academic foundation from the University of British Columbia in Organic Chemistry and Human Physiology.
My research experience includes reproductive health, perinatal mental health, and maternal wellbeing through roles at BC Women’s Hospital’s Contraception and Abortion Research Team and Health Together (formerly MIHCan), where my experience focuses on literature research. My leadership experience spans health education, sustainability advocacy, and community outreach. I have presented at the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame’s Discovery Days, served in executive youth leadership roles, and volunteered in emergency care and perinatal support programs, including VCH’s Cuddle Care Program, supporting new mothers at risk of postpartum depression.
With additional experience as a Pharmacy Assistant and vaccination coordinator during the COVID-19 pandemic, I strive to bring a patient-centered and evidence-informed approach to my training, with a commitment to advancing safe, equitable, and compassionate care for mothers and infants.
