Vassar Brothers Hospital
My name is Fajr Sarhan. I am an Internal Medicine resident at Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York. I am interested in pulmonary and critical care medicine, infectious diseases, point-of-care ultrasound, and making ethical decisions in complex cases. During my residency, I have pursued extensive training in POCUS-guided diagnostics. I have also contributed to research on HLH, penicillin-allergy delabeling, and ultrasound-based medical education. I enjoy turning clinical experiences into meaningful academic work. I take pride in projects that enhance patient safety, improve resident education, and promote evidence-based practice. I hope to build a career that combines clinical excellence with teaching, research, and compassionate patient-centered care.
