Thomas Jefferson University
Karsten is the Director of Clinical Education for the newly established respiratory therapy program at Thomas Jefferson University/National Jewish Health based in Philadelphia with off-campus labs based in Denver. He has spent the majority of his career in medical intensive care, hospital based education, and adjunct faculty roles. His areas of research interest include mechanical ventilation, burnout, oxygen therapy, and education. A fellow of the American Association for respiratory care, Karsten has held leadership roles in State and National professional societies and lectured both locally and nationally.
