Adam Laytin is an emergency physician and surgical intensivist at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and the chair of the International Federation for Emergency Medicine's Critical Care Special Interest Group (IFEM CC SIG). His research addresses the burden of medical emergencies, critical illness and trauma in low- and middle-income countries, and developing context-appropriate quality improvement interventions for resource-limited settings.
