John J. Gallagher, DNP, RN, CCNS, CCRN, CHSE, RRT, FAAN, FCCM
John Gallagher is currently Professor and Director of Simulation Strategy and Innovation at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University, as well as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Trauma and Critical Care. He has practiced in a variety of clinical settings including trauma resuscitation and surgical ICU, emergency department and pulmonary step-down units, as both a staff nurse and clinical nurse specialist. He has also served as trauma program director at both Level 1 and 2 trauma centers. Additionally, John is a Registered Respiratory Therapist and has practiced as a paramedic. He recently served as a Board of Director for the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and as a member of the NIH COVID-19 Treatment Guidelines Panel. He currently serves in the Society of Critical Care Medicine Nursing Section and as Chair of the Airway, Mechanical Ventilation Task Force.
