Enyo Ama Ablordeppey MD, MPH is an associate professor of Emergency Medicine and Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine. She received her medical school and public health training at the University of Pittsburgh and then completed fellowships in critical care medicine and emergency ultrasound at Washington University. She is currently a co-director of the critical care ultrasound and an Associate Ultrasound Director of Research & Innovation with training in implementation science. Her research interests center around understanding the behavioral and systems adaptations required to increase the uptake of evidence into healthcare practices for critically ill patients primarly focusing on health care providers int he healthcare delivery continuum. Current projects include ultrasound-guided catheter confirmation protocol, early foley removal in acute kidney injury, and focused point of care transesophageal echocardiography in cardiac arrest. Her research goal is to improve care for critically ill patients by developing and modifying implementation and de-implementation strategies in order to optimize health care delivery and avoid medical over utilization.
