Jamie L. Sturgill, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics. Dr. Sturgill received her PhD in Immunology from Virginia Commonwealth University. She then completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Biochemistry and is now a tenure track faculty member at UK. She is an active Co-Investigator in the STRIVE and PETAL networks. Her research focuses on sphingolipid across the spectrum of lung disease, especially in the ICU setting. She is passionate about translational research and team science.
