Dr. Jayaprakash is a board-certified Emergency Medicine and Critical Care Medicine Physician based in Detroit MI. She is passionate about enhancing sepsis care and early interventions in critical illness. A visionary physician leader, she brings her mission to life through hands-on care in emergency medicine and the medical ICU, where innovation meets compassion at the bedside. She specializes in implementation science, focusing on introducing interventions to improve care quality and evaluating best practices. Graduating from University College Dublin in the Republic of Ireland, Dr. Jayaprakash completed a basic specialist training scheme in the Republic of Ireland and gained a competitive and esteemed Membership (by examination) to the Royal College of Emergency Medicine for the UK and Ireland. Following this, she completed an emergency medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital and then a critical care fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She is the Associate Medical Director for Quality for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital and the Henry Ford Health System Physician Lead for the Sepsis Program. Additionally, she is a Clinical Associate Professor in Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at Michigan State University.
