Dr. Amy Dzierba is a clinical pharmacist scientist serving as the Director of Pharmacology Research for the ASPIRE (Acute Respiratory Failure & Sepsis Precision Interventions) Trials Program and Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate work and Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Midwestern University, Chicago College of Pharmacy. Thereafter, she completed her Post-Graduate Year 1 pharmacy residency at Grady Health System followed by a Post-Graduate Year 2 pharmacy residency in critical care at the University of Washington / Harborview Medical Center. Dr. Dzierba served as a panel member of the NIH COVID-19 guidelines as well as an author on the Surviving Sepsis Campaign COVID-19 guidelines. Her current research focuses on optimizing individualized therapeutic plans for critically ill patients through an applied understanding of altered pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics in this vulnerable patient population.
