Dr. Horng Helen, PharmD, BCCCP, is a board-certified critical care pharmacist at University Hospital in New Jersey. She specializes in optimizing medication therapy for critically ill trauma/surgical/tranplant patients. With over 20 years of ICU experience, Helen has developed expertise in managing complex pharmacotherapy for patients with multi-organ failure, altered hemodynamics of trauma patients and life-threatening infections of surgical patients. She specialiszes in sepsis management, antimicrobial stewardship and cost effective care of surgical ICU patients.Helen has authored peer-reviewed articles including infections, serves as a preceptor for next generation of pharmacists, and is an contributing Congress Programming member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Outside of the ICU, Helen enjoys culinary experiments, and traveling.
