Joanna Stollings, PharmD, FCCM

Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Tennessee

Dr. Joanna L. Stollings, Pharm.D. is the Medical Intensive Care Unit Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Stollings is the pharmacist for the Post ICU Recovery Center at Vanderbilt, Vanderbilt Center for Critical Illness, Brain Dysfunction and Survivorship, and Pragmatic Critical Care Research Group. She also is Affiliate Pharmacy Faculty at Belmont University College of Pharmacy, Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy, and University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. Dr. Stollings graduated Summa Cum Laude from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy. She then completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West Virginia and a Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Stollings’s research interests include pharmacotherapy of agents used for analgesia, sedation, and delirium, non-pharmacologic methods used in the prevention of delirium, strategies to facilitate ventilator weaning, Post Intensive Care Syndrome, fluid resuscitation, and vasopressors. She has published over 100 peer reviewed publications and book chapters.
Dr. Stollings is an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine in whichahe is a past chair for the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Section, member of CAIRO, member of the Ukranian Medical Mission Team, and a past co-chair of the ICU Liberation Collaboration. She is also a member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. She is a fellow in the American College of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
