She is the Medical Director for Inpatient Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA, and Co-Director of the Center for Value-Based Healthcare and Sciences. Dr. Zafar performs comparative effectiveness and outcomes research in neurocritical care and clinical neurophysiology, with a specific focus on the comparative effectiveness of ICU EEG monitoring and anti-seizure treatment strategies in patients with acute brain injuries.
