Nationwide Children's Hospital At Ohio State University, Ohio
Christopher P. Montgomery, M.D., is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, a pediatric critical care physician at Nationwide Children's Hospital (NCH), and a principal investigator in the Center for Microbe and Immunity Research at the Abigail Wexner Research Institute. He also directs the Critical Illness and Injury Interdisciplinary Research Group at NCH. Dr. Montgomery's research program focuses on the immunopathogenesis of Staphylococcus aureus infection. His group uses basic and translational approaches to understand the mechanisms by which S. aureus evades host immunity, with an emphasis on reducing risk of recurrent infection and overcoming vaccine-resistance.
