John C. O’Horo, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.P, F.A.M.I.A, F.I.D.S.A. is a board certified internist, intensivist, infectious disease specialist, clinical informaticist and professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. He obtained his M.D. from the University of Wisconsin, his Masters in Public Health from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and did internal medicine residency at Aurora Healthcare in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Subsequently, he did fellowships in critical care and infectious diseases at Mayo Clinic-Rochester before joining the staff in 2016. Since then, he also obtained board certification in clinical informatics. He chairs Mayo Clinics clinical systems oversight group, providing governance for clinician facing digital tools. Outside of informatics, he division chair of the public health, infectious diseases and occupational medicine.
