Anirban Bhattacharyya, MD, MS, MPH (he/him/his)

Mayo Clinic, Florida

Dr. Anirban Bhattacharyya is a critical care physician and Vice Chair of Research in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic Florida. His work centers on integrating artificial intelligence and data science thoughtfully into clinical practice to improve patient care and ensure fairness and transparency in their use.

He collaborates across disciplines to find practical ways technology can enhance decision-making and quality of care. His approach emphasizes teamwork, curiosity, and the responsible translation of innovation into everyday clinical practice.

Dr. Bhattacharyya also mentors trainees and leads interdisciplinary initiatives such as datathons and translational workshops that encourage collaboration between clinicians and data scientists. He holds master’s degrees in Clinical Informatics and Public Health, and his work continues to bridge data science and clinical care—ensuring that artificial intelligence in medicine remains human-centered and trustworthy.
