Dr. Matthew F. Mart, MD, MSCI is a pulmonary and critical care physician-scientist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Nashville Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he also serves as research faculty in the Critical Illness, Brain Dysfunction, and Survivorship (CIBS) Center. His research interests include ICU Liberation, survivorship, and recovery after critical illness. His current research focuses on identifying clinical and translational predictors of recovery after critical illness with a focus on physical function, frailty, delirium, and cognitive impairment.
