Brittany Stone, DNP, AGACNP-BC

Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Missouri

Brittany Stone, DNP, AGACNP-BC, is the Critical Care Clinical Outcomes Nurse Practitioner at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. With more than 14 years of experience in critical care, cardiac surgery, and quality improvement, she is committed to advancing evidence-based practice and improving outcomes for critically ill patients.

Brittany leads both local and systemwide initiatives across the BJC HealthCare system that focus on translating evidence into practice, reducing variation in care, and strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration. She serves as system co-lead for the BJC Critical Care Clinical Practice Workgroup, partnering with leaders, physicians, and frontline clinicians to implement data-driven strategies that enhance safety, efficiency, and clinical quality.

In her current role, she acts as a connector between frontline clinicians and organizational leadership, identifying opportunities for sustainable improvement and guiding projects that support best practices in critical care delivery. Her leadership style emphasizes emotional intelligence, collaboration, and a commitment to supporting bedside teams through innovation, clarity, and shared decision-making.

Brittany has presented her work at national nursing and healthcare conferences and has co-authored publications in journals such as Critical Care Nurse, Journal of Nursing Care Quality, and Journal of Emergency Nursing. Her professional interests include cardiogenic shock early identification and triage, quality and process improvement, and the integration of evidence-based practice into clinical operations to improve patient outcomes and staff empowerment.
