Xhesika Begaj, MD, is a third-year pediatric resident at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She earned her medical degree from NYU and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brown University. During residency, she designed and leads a longitudinal study aimed at improving physician comfort with eating disorder screening, for which she received the 2024 Gary F. Krieger, MD Award for Pediatric Advocacy. She is also involved in quality improvement initiatives focused on standardizing pediatric sepsis identification and refining croup assessment and admission criteria. She plans to pursue a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine.
